Karen K Buxton, 57, a resident of South Boardman since 1972, died Thu, May 31, 2001, at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. Buxton was affiliated with the Fife Lake Baptist Church, and enjoyed collecting Beanie Babies.
She was born in Detroit, Nov 28, 1943, the daughter of Orlando and Helen McCallum Major and married Roger Buxton on Aug 5, 1961, in Union Lake. He preceded her in death on Apr 1, 1986.
Surviving are daughters, Cynthia Paschall and Penelope Elya, both of South Boardman, her parents, Orland and Helen Major of Fife Lake; sisters Carol Cort of South Boardman, Michelle Major and Ruth Roy, both of Fife Lake; and six grandsons.
One sister, Orlanda Bevis, preceded her in death on Dec 10, 1995.
Funeral services were Jun 2 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev Bruce VanDusen officiated. Burial was in Boardman Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
