Mrs. John Coppens of Empire died at Munson Hospital Sunday morning, follwoing an illness of three months after that of her husband.
Born in Belgium, Mrs. Coppens came to this country at an early age and was married to John Coppens at Empire 44 years ago. They lived on the same farm throughout their married life.
She leaves three sons, Solomon of Philidelphia, PA, Otto of Chicago, and Fritz of Traverse City, and a daughter, Mrs. V.J. Desmul of Ord, NE.
Funeral services were held from St. Philip's Catholic Church at Empire, Tuesday morning, with Rev. Fr. Kosnik of Frankfort officiating. Burial was made at Empire.
