Mrs. Julia Mable Neihardt, 88, of South Boardman, died Sat, Apr 4, 1992, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. 

Mrs. Neihardt had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, and worked as a nursing attendant at the Traverse City State Hospital prior to her retirement in 1965. She was a member of the East Boardman United Methodist Church, the church W.S.C.S., and the American Legion Auxiliary. 

Mrs. Neihardt was born in Kalkaska County on Jul 13, 1903 to Oliver and Clara Brown Hart. On Nov 18, 1920, in South Boardman, she was married to Emmett Neihardt who preceded her in death on Apr 15, 1964. 

She is survived by four sons, Samuel Neihardt of San Diego, CA, Richard Neihardt of Fife Lake, Fred Neihardt of South Boardman, and Donald Neihardt of Traverse City; three daughters, Joan Kennedy of San Francisco, CA, Magaret Jean Grassel of Fife Lake, and Gretchen May Peck of Superior, AZ; 38 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson; two sisters, Elvira Peake of Sault Ste Marie, MI and Mildred Gustafson of Brevort. 

She was preceded in death by one son Carroll Neihardt, one daughter, Barbara Neihardt; two sister, and four brothers. 

Funeral services were held Tue, Apr 7, 1992 at the East Boardman United Methodist Church. Rev. Gary Wales officiated. Burial was in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
