Mrs. Julia L. Clifton, 88, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Mar 28, 1996, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long-term Care Unit.
Mrs. Clifton moved to Kalkaska County in 1962 from Drayton Plains. She was a member of the Kalkaska Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing for muskie and trout and making wooden lawn ornaments.
She was born Aug 25, 1907, in Macomb County to Henry and Alice Longstaff Alward. On Jul 16, 1927, in Mt. Clemens, she married Harold Clifton, who preceded her death Jul 17, 1982.
Surviving are daughter Esther Green of Waterford; one grandson, four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Mar 30 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Kalkaska. Doctor Marc Graham officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
Arrangements were handled by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
