Judith A. DiRosa, 63, of Mancelona, died Thu, Jan 6, 2000, at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. DiRosa had resided in Detroit until 32 years ago when she moved to Kalkaska County. For 28 years, she and her husband Jim owned and operated Twin Lakes General Store prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and enjoyed travel, reading, and her family and grandchildren.
She was born in East Detroit on Sep 15, 1936, the daughter of J. Mitchell and Grace Hummel Ponder. On May 18, 1957, in East Detroit, she married Jim DiRosa, who survives.
Besides her husband she is survived by sons James (Amy) DiRosa of Kalkaska and Jeffrey (Susan) DiRosa of Rapid City; daughter Janet (Mike) Piscopo of Bellaire; brothers William Ponder of Kalkaska and Jerald Ponder of Mancelona; and grandchildren Vincent, Zachari, Emily, and Dominic Piscopo, and Daniel DiRosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother Mabel Ponder.
Services were Jan 8 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. Ted Turanski, pastor of St Paul Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial was in Coldsprings Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
