Judie Ann (McLean) Jacobson, 40, of Kalkaska, passed away on Sunday,
Jan. 11, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at the University of Michigan Hospital
in Ann Arbor. She was born on May 20, 1968, in Traverse City.
Judie was the beloved wife of Bernie; the devoted daughter of Gene and Doris McLean; the loving
sister of James E. (Laura) McLean, Julie L. McLean and her twin, Jodie S. (Jack) Disbrow; the loving
daughter-in-law of Jake and Hilda Jacobson of South Boardman; the loving sister-in-law of Richard
(Jan) Jacobson of Traverse City, Sarah (Skip) Gilbert of Fife Lake, Linda Hawkins of Texas, and Eric
(Holly) Jacobson of Ohio; several nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; special friends, Casey, Gwen and Aleese; and her dogs, Opie and Otis.
Judie graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1986 and joined the family business.
She married Bernie C. Jacobson on July 27, 1996, in Kalkaska. She enjoyed the family vacations,
family traditions, spending time with her family and friends and working at the hardware, which she did for over 20 years.
Visitation will be today, Jan. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The
funeral service will be on Friday at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, with Dan Johnson and Jeff Badgero
from the Kalkaska Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
