Juanita M. Churchill, 79, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Jul 31, 1995, at the Emmet County Medical Care Facility in Harbor Springs.
Born Oct 31, 1915, in Charlevoix, Mrs. Churchill was the daughter of Frank and Bessie (Simpson) Bearss. She grew up in Charlevoix and Royal Oak, and later attended nursing school in Detroit. She worked as a registered nurse for 30 years in Florida, Washington, and Michigan.
After retiring, she resided in Sand Lake, and in 1988 moved to Kalkaska, where she was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church and was a volunteer in several community organizations.
There will be a memorial service Thu, Aug 10, at 7 pm at the Lighthouse Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church or to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay at P.O. Box 2117, Petoskey, MI 49770.
