Juanita Francis Anderson, 9/8/1918 to 3/29/2016, age 97, born in Flint, MI to William L Francis and Ella Cook Francis.
Graduate of Flint Central High School and Baker’s Business University. Worked at DuPont, Flint Public Schools, AC Spark Plugs, Morley Brothers, an attorney, and an accounting firm, and later as a Realtor. She was a long time member of Church Women United where she served as president and named Valiant Woman of 1995, and was the Secretary of Bay City Community Concerts for many years. She was also a member of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since childhood. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, computer games, baking, reading, and keeping up to date with current events.
Juanita married James M. Anderson in 1952. He died May 24, 2000. Brothers, Harold and Melvin Francis, and sister, Gertrude Trevarrow, preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son and daughter in law, Stephen and Tamara Anderson of Apex, NC; grandson, James (Jane) Anderson of Washington DC; granddaughters, Lauren (Chris) Steffen of Roanoke, VA, and Meredith Anderson of Raleigh, NC; great granddaughter, Finley Steffen; nieces, Evelyn Cherba of Lindin, MI, Cindy (Dick) Fineberg of Pompano Beach, FL, Susan (Rick) Wagner of Lake Worth, FL; nephews, Thomas (Lois) Larson of Bay City, James (Julie) Larson of Islamorada, FL, Harold Francis of FL, Mike (Erin) Anderson of CA; many great nieces and nephews. Also, surviving are dear friends of many years, Barbara and Al Bierlein. Those who wish may want to consider the National Humane Education Society and Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
