Joseph J. Rapoza, Jr., 38, of Kalkaska, died Wed, Oct 5, 1994 in Berrien County from injuries sustained in a trucking accident.
Mr. Rapoza had been a resident of Kalkaska County since 1968, after moving from Wayne. He was a 1976 graduate of Kalkaska High School. He was employed by CH&P Trucking Company at the time of his death. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, and enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, and the outdoors.
Born in Jul 24, 1956 in Ypsilanti, he was the son of Joseph and Lydia Viverios Rapoza.
Surviving are his mother, Lydia Rapoza of Pensacola, FL; one son, Joseph J Rapoza III of Kalkaska; three brothers, Carlton, Darrell and Arthur, all of Kalksaka; two sisters, Shirley Nolff of Howell and Karen Krumlauf of Kalkaska; two uncles, three aunts, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Vivian LaBombarbe.
The Rosary was recited Mon, Oct 10, 1994 at 7:30 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at noon on Tue, Oct 11, 1994 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Father Patrick J. Barret officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
Arrangements were made by the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
