Joseph J. Penjak, Sr., 75, of Alden died Sat, Aug 10, 1991, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Penjak moved to Alden in 1965 from Westland. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1978, and was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church and U.A.W. Ford Local 600.
Mr. Penjak was born in Donora, PA on Jul 22, 1916 to John and Ida Kilvady Penjak. On Jul 27, 1964, in Detroit, he was united in marriage with Mary Anderson who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Sonja Penjak Flewelling of Washta, IA; one brother, John Penjak of FL; two sisters, Edith DelBel and Sue Bonefed both of PA; two grandsons, Francis and Jerry Flewelling both of Washta, IA; and several nieces and nephews. One son, Joseph "Mickey," Jr and one sister, Mary, preceded him in death.
The Rosary was recited Monday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tue, Aug 13, 1991 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Father Patrick J. Barrett officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
