Joseph E Gilbert of Jackson passed away on Thu, Oct 25, 2007, age 38. He was the loving husband to Robin (Amos) Gilbert and dedicated father to Kelsey and Nathanial.
He was born in Battle Creek, MI on Oct 30, 1968, to mother, Dixie (Servis) Gilbert of Phoenix, AZ and father, John Gilbert of Kalkaska. He is also survived by step mother, Deborah (Reed) Gilbert, sister, Jackie (Gilbert) Baggs; brothers, John, Jamie, and Shawn Gilbert; and many other extended family members.
Joe was a former US Marine, a graduate of Kalkaska High School and Jackson Community College. Joe was proudly employed by Knight Protective Services as a guard of federal buildings. He was a devoted parent, foster parent, uncle, and friends to countless, touching many lives. Joe will fondly be remembered for his passion of family, friends, and his hobbies.
Visitations were held Mon, Oct 29, at Chas J Burden & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Tue, Oct 30, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Michigan Center with family and friends.
