John Leonard Schlaud, age 79, died Tue, Jun 3, 2014 at the Genensy Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be 11am Fri, Jun 6, 2014 at the Holy Family Church, 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI. Fr. Jonathan Perrotta officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thur from 2 – 8pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw, St., Grand Blanc, MI.
John was born December 29, 1934 in Elba Twp., MI to parents Leonard and Florence (Halpin) Schlaud. He was a member of the Flint Banjo Club, Grand Blanc Heritage Association, Fretted Interment Guild of America, the Flint and Lapeer Genealogy Societies and the Grand Blanc High School Alumni.
Surviving are wife Dorothy; children, John M. (Mikki) Schlaud, Richard A. (Joanne) Schlaud, Ann K. Schlaud, Robert S. (Corey) Schlaud, Mary Jo Wiltse, Mary Jane (Rick) Goss, Diane K. Schlaud; grandchildren, Benjamin Schlaud, John William Schlaud, Anthony Schlaud, Paul Vliet, Mark Vliet, Kathryn Williams, Robyn Bell, Christopher Hall, WhitneyFrelitz, K.C. Allen Schlaud, Hannah Reynolds, Meggan Schlaud, Sophia Pepper, Bradley Pepper, Alexander Perakis, Kalee Goss, Rebecca Pepper, Jacob Wiltse; great grandchildren, Jacob, Samantha, Malachi, Abby, Allie, Emma, Zoey, Ellyza, Peyton, Carter, Parker, Luke; sisters, Barbara (Bob) Brisky, Marilyn (Don) Hamilton-Goyette; brother, Larry (Maria) Schlaud; several nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.
