John L (Jack) Ehl Jr., 80, of Kalkaska, died Nov 26, 1998, at Meadows of Grayling.
Mr. Ehl spent his early years in Kalkaska until he entered the service. He returned to Kalkaska County in 1969 following his retirement from the U.S. Air Force. he was a member of Land O'Lakes VFW Post 8684, the American Legion and the DAV. he enjoyed crafts and carpentry.
Born in Flint on May 1, 1918, he was the son of John and Mary Blaney Ehl. He marrie Betty Lou (Polly) May in 1969, and she preceded him in death in 1976.
Surviving are brother G. Maurice Ehl of Kalkaska, sister Janice Bateman of Perry and several nieces and nephews.
Brothers Edward Barney and Donald Ehl preceded hin in death.
Funeral services were held Nov 30 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Mark McCool, pastor of the Antrim Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
