John F Spencer, 80 of Fife Lake, passed away on May 27, 2008 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City. He was born on Jul 15, 1927 in Flint, MI, to the late Walter and Minnie (Dietz) Spencer.
John married Myrna Miller Oct 20, 1951 in Ypsilanti. He served his country during WWII in the US Navy aboard the USS Iowa. John formerly worked as a stationary steam engineer for the power company.
Surviving John are two sisters, Marie Orr and Genevieve Ely, both of Ypsilanti.
John was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 46 years, Myrna; his three children; his brothers, Carl Spencer, Harold Spencer, Edward Spencer; and 2 sisters, Louise Sykes and Kathleen Furrow.
Visitation for John was Thu, May 29, 2008 from 5 to 8 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funreal service was Fri at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Kimberland Hough of the Garfield Country Church officiating.
