Peacefully at Moira Place Tweed, on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 Jack Vance in his 81st year. Son of the late William & Dora (Holbert) Vance. Husband of the late Sheila (Black). Beloved father of Lieutenant General Jonathan Vance, Italy; Lisa Vance, Ottawa; Stephen Vance, Ottawa; Sarah Vance, Toronto, & Rachel Ross-Vance, Toronto. Loving grandfather of Olivia Vance; Taelor Smith, Sophie Vance-Cousineau, Isabella Vance-Cousineau; Jacob Vance; Amina Vance; Shaila Ross-Vance. Dear brother of Betty Flower, Renfrew, Carolyn Gaunt, BC, and the late Horace, Burton, Arthur, Jeanne Livingstone. The family will receive friends at the McConnell Funeral Home, Tweed from 2-4 & 7-9 Monday, September 16, 2013 from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 pm at St. John’s United Church Tweed.
