John E. Morgan, 51, of 5107 Cribbins Road, died Monday in Yale Community Hospital after a short illness.
He was a member of St. Clair Count Sheriff’s posse.
A lifelong resident, he was born March 26, 1916, in Avoca and married Ethel Martin May 10, 1941 in Avoca.
He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mary, at home; a son Anson, Avoca; four sisters, Mrs. Florence Lawrence, Royal Oak; Mrs. Arnold Gerds, Oscoda; Mrs. Fred Mason, Avoca; and Miss Agness Morgan, Avoca; four brothers, Alvin and Daniel, both of Avoca, and Albert and Albren, both of Goodells, and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Rister Funeral Home, Avoca, with Rev. Jon Thomas, pastor of Avoca Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Port Huron.
