John E. Haskell, 911 E. Moore St., age 53, died Fri, Aug 31, 1973, at Otsego Memorial Hospital, Gaylord, MI. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Tue at Groves & Co. Memorial Chapel, Garland at Third Ave., Elder H. Paul Ross officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Mr. Haskell will lie in state at Groves & Co. Memorial Chapel. Death was due to complications following a 3-month illness. Mr. Haskell was born in Flint, MI, Nov 1, 1919, the son of Ralph and Christine Rise Haskell, and he had been a resident of Flint his entire life. He married Addie Sewell in Flint, Apr 27, 1947. Mr. Haskell had been employed by Buick Motor Division for 32 years in the Shipping and Receiving Department. Surviving are: wife, Addie; 5 daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Aleline) Barnhart of Mt. Morris, Mrs. Robert (Sally) Emith of Genesee, MI, Miss Patricia Haskell, Miss Christine Haskell, and Miss Tammy Haskell, all of Flint; 8 grandchildren; 5 sisters, Mrs. Harold Stafford, Mrs. William Bird, and Mrs. Tom Thomas all of Flint, Mrs. Lawrence Sewell of Flushing, and Mrs. Edward Cowell of Mt. Morris; 2 brothers, Clifford Haskell of flint and Raphl of Swartz Creek; several nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Groves & Co.
