John Cesare Franco, 48, a Kalkaska attorney, died Sat, Jun 12, 993, at his residence.
Mr. Franco lived in the Detroit area until eight years ago when he moved to Kalkaska. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the Detroit Institute of Technology, and was a graduate of the Detroit College of Law. He had been sworn in to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. He was active in many civic organizations which included the Kalkaska Moose Lodge, the Kalkaska Rotary Club, the Economic Development Corporation, the Industrial Development Corporation, the Kalkaska Education Foundation and the Manistee Action Council.
Born in Detroit on Jun 7, 1945, Mr. Franco was the son of frank and Ann (Demaestri) Franco. On Sep 10, 1976, in Troy, he was united in marriage with Rosemarie Klaiber who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Frank Franco and one daughter Victoria Franco both at home; his parents of Farmington Hills; one brother Fr. David Franco of Ypsilanti; one sister, Christina Gerhardt of Detroit; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services were held Tue, Jun 15, 1993, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Fr. David Franco officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
