Tolhus Jr, 52, of 35 Deerfield Court, East Hartford, former husband of Janet (Wainwright) Tolhus, died Sunday (Jun 21) at home. born in Detroit, MI, he was a lifelong resident of East Hartford. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, East Hartford. He is survived by a son, John A Tolhus III of East Hartford; two daughters, Laura J Bober of East Hartford, and Corinne M Bergeron of Vernon; his mother, Anna (Kupchunos) Tolhus of East Hartford; a brother, Robert C. Tolhus of Meriden; three grandchildren, Eric D Bober and Stephanie L. Bober, both of East Hartford, and Bethany A Bergeron of Vernon; and a niece Kristene Tolhus of Meriden. Funeral service will be Wednesday, 10:15 am, from the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, with a mass of Christian Burial, 11 am, in St. Mary's Church, East Hartford. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. Friends may call at the funeral home today, 7 to 9 pm.
