John A. Miller, 87, of 25502 McCutcheonville Rd, Perrysburg, died at his home on Thursday after a brief illness.
An engineer for the Ohio Fuel Gas Co until retirement in 1946, Mr. Miller worked as a clerk at the Miller Market and Sohio Service Station until he became ill three weeks ago.
Mr. Miller had lived in Perrysburg since 1941. He was born Aug 26, 1881 to Mr. and Mrs. Phillip (Frances) Miller. He married Avis Jeffers on Mar 16, 1918. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, John of Seneca Falls, NY, Raymond of Perrysburg, and Kenneth of Huntsville, AL; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Harbaugh of Ashland, Mrs. Gene (Rosemary) Wright of Perrysburg, Mrs. Virgil (Vestal) Jacobs of Alliance, and Mrs. Herbert (Belva) Chambers of Elyria; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 7 tonight at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, where the funeral will be at 1 pm Sunday. Lawrence Kagels of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Fort Meigs Cemetery.
