TRAVERSE CITY - Jerry Otis Green, 63, of Traverse City, died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at Munson Medical Center.
Formerly employed by Munson Medical Center as a laundry worker, he retired due to a physical disability.
Jerry enjoyed bowling, hunting and camping, and was well known in the Grand Traverse area for his skills as a pitcher in Fast Pitch softball.
He touched many lives and will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Donna (Flees) Green of Traverse City; two daughters, Maybelle (Murle) Campbell of Traverse City and Theresa (Kelly) Metcalf of Kingsley; six grandchildren, Jerry, Shawn, Cory, Joshua, Brandon and Kaitlyn. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Beverly (Lonnie) Schaub, Victoria (Al) Scriver, Robert (Patricia) Green, Minnie (Art) Gagnon, Betty (Hank) Shawnoskey and Paula (Larry) Gauthier; and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, David Green in January 2005; and his parents, Earl L. and Virginia (Hanna) Green.
Friends may call Wednesday, June 15, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City.
There will be a gathering in remembrance of Jerry and his brother, David, on Saturday, July 16, at 2 p.m., at the home of Paula Gauthier, 3811 County Road 633, in Grawn.
In remembrance of Jerry, memorials may be directed to his wife, Donna.
