Jeremy Hodge, 38, of Arthur, died at 10:27 am Mon, Feb 2, 2015 at his home.
A Celebration of Jeremy’s Life will be held at 2 pm Sat, Feb 7, 2015 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Fine St, Arthur, with Rev. John Stewart officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Jeremy was born Jun 29, 1976 in Decatur, the son of James and Nicki (Mayhall) Hodge.
Jeremy graduated from Arthur High School in 1994. He then attended Lake Land College from 1994-1996. He was employed at Mid State Tank in Sullivan until he joined the U.S. Navy in 1997, where he graduated training as a sonar technician. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he worked at PPG Industries in Mt. Zion. At the time of his death he had been employed at Bourbon Township for 5 years.
Jeremy is survived by his mother, Nicki Mayhall of Champaign; father, James (Carolyn) Hodge of Lenexa, KS; sister, Tammy Helfrich of Atwood; niece, Shelby Helfrich of Sullivan; nephews, Dylan Helfrich of Savoy, Austin Helfrich of Atwood; cousins, Wendy Fourez; Kory (Gina) Hodge; Dan (Nikki) Hodge; Abby (Derek Kresin) Hodge; Michael Mayhall; and Marcus Mayhall. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles and a host of friends who loved him dearly and will miss him forever.
Jeremy’s passing leaves us all without the words to express our sadness. He had the most unique and witty sense of humor; he could always make people laugh. He loved riding his toys and enjoyed the outdoors. Jeremy loved and was totally devoted to his “good buddy”, Titus.
