Jennie Morgan, 88, of Ruby, died Friday, July 25, 1997 at Mercy Hospital, Port Huron.
She was born July 5, 1909 in St. Joseph, Ill. The daughter of the former Asa and Winifred Ward Ollis. Her marriage to Joseph Morgan was in 1934 in Detroit.
Mrs. Morgan liked sewing, gardening, letter writing and loved her family very much.
Surviving in addition to her husband joseph of 63 years are a daughter, Ilene Hopps of Valley City, Ohio; and a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Grover Gates of Ruby; six grandchildren, Paulette Gibbons, Tracy Hopps-Webea, Erin Hopps-Staub, Sheila Gates, Grover C. Gates, and Sonja Behrens; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; her brother, George Ollis; and a sister, Elizabeth White.
Preceding her in death are three brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday at the Kaatz Funeral Home, Avoca, with burial in Springhill Cemetery, Greenwood Twp. The Rev. Darrell Tallman will officiate.
Visiting hours are 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
