Jennie I. Tucker, 74, of Kalkaska, died Wed, Jun 2, 1993, at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. Tucker resided in Kalamazoo until 1971, when she moved to Kalkaska County. She attended Western Michigan University, and taught music in Kalamazoo and Kalkaska. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kalamazoo. Her hobbies included the outdoors, fishing, and cooking.
Born in Schenectady, New York on Nov 3, 1918, she was the daughter of Ernest and Luella Young. On Nov 23, 1939, in Kalamazoo, she was married to James K. Tucker who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Thomas Tucker of Kalamazoo; three daughters, Marjorie Hendrickson and Patricia Ann Shaffer both of South Haven, and Linda Nyhof of West Olive; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Two brothers, Charles and Douglas Young, preceded him in death.
Graveside services were held Sat. Jun 5, 1993, at Boardman Township Cemetery. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated.
