Jeffrey Robert Martin was born in Lansing, MI on Apr 7, 1962, and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Aug 28, 2021.
He is survived by his beloved wife and partner of 18 years, Holly Nichols, his children, Forest “Joe” Martin and Ian “Eebe” (Jeannine) Martin. Grandchildren, Kenslee and Nora Martin, Ryleigh Wurm and Aiden Krutel, and siblings Laurie (Bill) Kemp; Doug (Lynn Cohen) Martin, Diane (Ben Platte) Schaibly, Dan (Beep) Martin, and Sandy (Troy Moulton) Martin. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents Dan and Carol Martin and stepdaughter, Mindi Wurm. He will be missed by many family members and numerous friends.
Jeff, Jeffy, Jefro, Jazzy, Uncle, Dad, Grandpa, Brother. A man with many names because of the many lives he touched. He will be remembered as a gifted musician and songwriter if it had strings, he could not only play it but play it damn well, he was passionate about cooking and won multiple cooking contests, and growing up on the farm, Jeff was an avid horseback rider, hunter, and fisherman. He had many talents and hobbies, but he became extremely involved in axe throwing and could hang with the best of them. It is often considered rare to come across such an extraordinary man, but Jeff truly was. His sense of humor was unmatched, and if you crossed paths with him and were lucky enough to call him a friend, he would consider and treat you like family. His generosity and compassion didn’t stop at his loved ones, he was one of those people who would literally help anyone in need.
He will be greatly missed by many, but his legacy will live on in lives he touched and the people he loved.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sat, Oct 2nd at Eagle Park Fairgrounds (14331 S. Grange Rd, Eagle, MI 48822) starting at 1 pm.
