Jeanette May Vipond, 77, of Kalkaska, passed away on Feb 13, 2007, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care. She was born on Oct 15, 1929, in Kalkaska, the daughter of Elgie and Ila Van Den Hout.
A lifelong resident of Kalkaska, Jeanette married Clinton H Vipond on Sep 8, 1948.
Jeanette is survived by her children, Lanette Vipond, Larry Vipond, and Lorrie Gowen all of Kalkaska; siblings, Gordon Van Den Hout of Sparta and Joan Bartell of Traverse City; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Clinton; her parents; and her siblings, Joyce Van Den Hout and Jim Van Den Hout.
Jeanette was a graduate from Kalkaska High School. She and her husband, Clinton, were past owners of the Vipond Apartments. Jeanette was always a hard worker and loved gardening and landscaping. She was a great mother and a devoted grandmother.
Funeral services were held Feb 15 at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home with Reverend Dan Johnson of the Kalkaska Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in the spring.
