Jay L Lantzer, 96, of Kalkaska passed away on Thu, Sep 14, 2006, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center - LTC.
Born in Kalkaska on May 24, 1910, he was the son of the late William and Evealine (Wood) Lantzer.
Jay married Marvel Tanner on Jul 27, 1931, in Kalkaska. A lifelong resident of Kalkaska, Jay retired from the Kalkaska County Road Commission in 1964. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping.
Jay was a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ for many years.
Jay is survived by his children, Dale (Jeanne) Lantzer and Melba (Gary) Golden, all of Kalkaska, and Norma (Lyle) North of Coopersville; daughter in law, Joyce Lantzer of Kalkaska; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
Preceding Jay in death was his wife, Marvel on Feb 1, 2001; and his son, Bruce Lantzer on Aug 27, 2003.
The funeral service was held on Mon, Sep 18 at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska with Dan Johnson officiating from the Kalkaska Church of Christ.
