Janet M. Reed, 71, of Gaylord, died Sun, Feb 20, 2000, at her home.
Mrs. Reed was born Aug 15, 1928, in Maud, OK, and had lived in the Gaylord area since December 1970. She was employed at Advance Electric for many years.
She is survived by daughter Sheryl (Frederick) Scherf of South Boardman; grandson Frederick Robert Scherf of Alden; great granddaughter Ariel Scherf of Alden; and brother Frank (Amy) Carter of Kaneohe, HA.
Preceding her in death were husband Robert "RJ" Reed in 1976 and mother Mabel Carter on Feb 19, 2000.
Funeral services were Feb 23 at the First United Methodist Church; Rev. John Naile officiated. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, The American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society through the Nelson Funeral Home in Gaylord.
