Jane S. Loper, 83, of Manton, died Wed at Lakeview Lutheran Manor in Cadillac.
Born December 20, 2016 at Walton Junction, she was the daughter of Rev. Emery and Nora (Williams) Smith. On Mar 8, 1940, in Napoleon, OH, she married Keith Loper. He preceded her in death on Mar 12, 1991.
Jane grew up at Walton Junction. She lived in Pontiac for several years where she was employed at Fisher Body. After her marriage she lived in Kansas while her husband was in the service. She had been a resident of Manton since 1946 and Jane loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by three sisters in law, Goldie Smith of Fife Lake, Barbara Smith of Pontiac, and Lucille Smith of Pontiac; two brothers in law, Matt and Lester Loper; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary; an infant son, BK Jr; four brothers, Emery, Ed, Roy and Bob; nine sisters, Harriet Kimball, Etta Newmarch, Nellie Aldridge, Mildred Newmarch, Pearl Vernier, Elma Smith, Dorothy Dontje, Dahlia Smith and Winifred Smith.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm today at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Manton. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sat at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Manton.
