James W. Hodges, 28, died suddenly in Florida.
He was born Nov 6, 1962 in Cass City. He attended Akron Fairgrove School and lived in Akron at the time. He lived in Tuscola County for much of his life and most recently in the upper portion of the Lower Peninsula, before moving to Florida earlier this year. He had recently been employed in underground construction at Walt Disney World. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and coin collecting, as well as being a car enthusiast.
He is survived by Cathy Ann Hodges of Pontiac; Carrie Taylor of Onaway; his children James, Travis, and Abbey; his mother, Mrs. Vern (Ruth) Bowen of Kalkaska; his father Robert Hodges of Flint; his motheri n law, Diane Mapley RN of Flint; one sister Mrs. Brian (Kimberly) Birdsall of Gaylord; one niece and two nephews, Jennifer, Brian (Bri Guy), and Christopher Birdsall; grandparents Leonard and Jean Donaldson of Caro; step grandmother, Alta Hodges of Caro; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held Sep 19, 1991 at Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Pastor Arnold Burger officiated. Burial was in Wahjamega Cemetery.
