Former Ridgeville resident, James Roger Mumbower, 70, died Mon in Community Hospital, Anderson, after a brief illness.
Mr. Mumbower, who was born in Ridgeville, had lived in the Anderson area since 1953. He retired in 1980 after 34 yeas with Conrail. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary Ann Truex Mumbower; four sons, James Mumbower (wife: Jean) and Thomas Mumbower, both of Anderson, Jack Mumbower (wife: Nancy), Tipton, and David Mumbower (wife: Debbie), Frankton; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Raines, James Mumbower, John Mumbower, Benjamin Mumbower, Nicholas Mumbower, Jacob Mumbower, Nicole Mumbower, Nathan Mumbower, C. Shane Ritenour, and Shannon Ritenour; three great grandchildren, Cody Mumbower, Zachary Mumbower and Matthew Raines, and a nephew, Jack Kinney.
A daughter, Debra Ritenour, died in 1980. His parents, Milo and Hazel Runyon Mumbower, also are deceased. Services will be at 1 pm Thu in Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, Anderson, with Rev. George Taylor and Rev. Dean Rodkey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
