James R. Kibby, Sr., 40, of Mancelona, died Thu, Jun 25, 1992 at Grand Traverse Community Hospital.
Mr. Kibby resided in Kalkaska for many years and was employed by Kalkaska Screw Products. He graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1969 and was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and motorcycle riding.
He was born on Aug 1, 1951, in Frankfort, to Louis and Minerva (Mason) Kibby. On Oct 4, 1969, in South Boardman, he married Amanda Thornburg, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Louis D Kibby of Mancelona, James R Kibby Jr of Kalksaka, and Christopher Kibby of Mancelona; one daughter, Tammy R Kibby of Mancelona; his mother Minerva Kibby of South Boardman; one brother, Steve Kibby of Florida; one sister, Caroline Hartzel of Mexico; one grandson, Calob Kibby, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services were held Sat, Jun 27, 1992 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Rev. Richard B. Jones officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
