James Mark Gibson, 60, of South Boardman, passed away unexpectedly on Mar 4, 2012 at Munson Medical Center. Jim was born Aug 19, 1951 in Royal Oak, son of the late James A. and Betty L Gibson.
He is survived by his cherished daughter, Stacey Gibson, of TN; two grandchildren; beloved brothers, Jack Gibson of Madison Heights and Randy Gibson of Rochester Hills; special nephew Scott and niece Angela Gibson; ex wives: Carol Gibson and Judy Gibson; and many friends.
The family moved to Kalkska County in the early 1980s, where Jim developed a deep appreciation for nature. He enjoyed every season to the fullest. He was a treasured employee of the Jenkins Family Farm in Kalkaska for many years. When he wasn't working he would usually be in the woods or on the river. He loved deer hunting, snowmobiling, and had an exceptional eye for morel mushrooms. Jim's main love was the river. He loved trout fishing and taking his small boat past Rainbow Jim's around to Taffeltown, in what his nephew lovingly dubbed "The Jimuda Triangle".
A celebration of life will take place at Rainbow Jim's on Apr 28, at 4pm.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dave and Debbie at Wolfe O-Neill Funeral Home for all their help and kindness during this difficult time.
