James Levi Hiller, 68, of Kalkaska, died Wed, Mar 27, 1996, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
He was born Apr 25, 1927, in McBain, the son of James and Eva (Geesemen) Hiller.
Mr. Hiller served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947. He was a foreman for Brehm Tree & Land Company for over 13 years, moving from Fife Lake to Kalkaska in 1980. An avid fisherman, hunter, and trapper, he retired in 1986.
Surviving are his children Nancy (Jeff) Cooley of Summer, Jeff (Cheryl) Hiller, Pat (Shelly) Hiller, Gary Hiller, and Nicholas Hiller, all of Kalkaska, James (Nancy) Hiller of Traverse City, Bill (Marty) Hiller and Laurie (Mark) Kinney, all of Fife lake, and Susi Hiller of South Boardman.
Also surviving are sister Mary (Carl) Morton of Lansing, 15 grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.
Mr. Hiller was preceded in death by his parents and sister Louise Jeffery.
Funeral services were held Mar 30 at the Burkholder Funeral Home in McBain. Burial was in Mount View Cemetery, McBain.
