James L. Waltz, 47, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Apr 9, 2001, at his residence.
Mr. Waltz was born in Bellaire on Mar 22, 1954, to Ralph and Joan Ramsey Waltz.
He had lived in Kalkaska most of his life, and was employed by the Michigan Department of Transportation. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and enjoyed classic cars.
Surviving are his son Scott (Penni) Waltz of Jacksonville, AL; daughter Jennifer (Matthew Hurd) Waltz of Kalkaska; his former wife and companion, Sandra; brother, Thomas (Kris) Waltz of Kalkaska; sister Vickie (Bill) Watson of Mancelona; maternal grandmother Opal Ramsey of Kalkaska; granddaughter, Mandi and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering for family and friends was Apr 14 at the Kalkaska Senior Center; Jeff Badgero officiated.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
