James Hornbaker Jr, 75, 1601 N. Richmond St, died Monday in Blackford County Hospital.
Mr. Hornbaker was a lifetime local resident and graduated from Hartford City High School. He worked at Marhoefer Packing, Muncie, for 32 years before retiring in 1983.
He was a member of Assemblies of God Church and Marhoefer Sympathy Club.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Ethylmae Johnson Hornbaker; four sons, Ben M (wife: Dawn), Jim (wife: Vicki), Kip D (wife: Tammy) and Ted Hornbaker (wife: Tammy); a brother, Jack L Hornbaker (wife: Zella); 10 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
A brother and a great grandchild are deceased.
Services will be at 10 am Thursday in Keplinger Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
Calling will be 3 to 5 and 6 to 9 pm Wednesday and 2 hours before services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
