James Hamilton Jr., 86, passed away on Dec 3, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Katherine; sons, James William Hamilton and Karl (Carol) Hamilton; daughter, Margaret (George) Clous; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. James served as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army. He was a two-time Silver Star recipient and three-time Bronze Star Award winner. He received the Purple Heart three times as well. He was a member of the DAV and the American Legion, where he served as Commander three separate times. After his military service, he worked as an auto mechanic for 30 years. He and Katherine then moved to Arizona in 1982. In Tucson, they owned and operated the Alpine Clock Shop on Broadway for 20 years before retiring. Memorial Services for James will be held at 2 pm, Fri, Dec 9, 2011 at Bring’s Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway with Pastor Tom Dunham officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by the Fort Huachuca Select Honor Guard.
