James E Bramble, 51, of 10058 11 Mile Rd died unexpectedly Sunday morning of an apparent heart attack. He was stricken about 9 am at his residence. An ambulance was called but he died before a hospital could be reached.
Born at Marshall, a son of Edward and Elvira (Vandeberg) Bramble, he was a life-long resident of this area and had been employed the last 37 years by the Michigan Carton Co. He was a past president of the Battle Creek Dahlia and Gadiolus Society and at the time of his death was serving as vice president of the organization. He was married here Sep 5, 1937, to Mary Jackson, who survives. His other survivors include a step-son, Charles Bosher of St. Mary’s Lake; his mother, residing at 22 E. Grand Circle Ave; two brothers, Walter of the Grand Circle Avenue address and Richard of 14520 15 Mile Road, and two granddaughters.
