James E. Hayward, 59, of Brown City died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, in Lapeer.
He was born Aug. 28, 1943, in Marlette to Kenneth and Shirley Hayward.
He graduated from Marlette High School Class of 1963.
He married Ruth Albertson on Feb. 25, 1967, in Brown City.
Mr. Hayward worked at Champion Motor Coach Corp. by Thor in Imlay City for more than 20 years. He had also worked at Active Homes and Travco Corp.
He was past president of the Brown City Lions Club; was a Little League Coach; and played blooper ball and horseshoes.
He was a member of the Brown City United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ruth Hayward; two daughters, Tammy (Clint) Bower and Tina (Pat) Beemer; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Nathan, Chad, Hannah, and Bailey; and three brothers and four sisters, Ron (Sharon) Hayward, Delbert (Jan) Hayward, Bob (Diane) Hayward, Sandra (Butch) Bennett, Brenda (Tom) Owens, Debbie Hayward and Pam Owens.
Visitation will be 1 to 9 p.m. today at Carman Funeral Home, Brown City.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Omard Cemetery.
