James E. Cornell, 76, of 7030 Wells Street; died Saturday, Dec. 31, 1988 in his home.
He was born April 21, 1912 in Flynn Township, the son of John and Margaret (Young) Cornell. He married Irene Hayward, Sept. 30, 1934 in Detroit.
Mr. Cornell was a toolmaker.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, and son in law, Karen and Ronald Smith of Sandusky; a son James Cornell Jr of Romeo; a son and daughter in law, Richard and Lynne of Washington, MI; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ellen Rounds of Warren.
Services were held in the Carman Funeral Home in Brown City. The Rev. Gary Allward of Immanuel United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
