James Clair Dunn, age 83, of Fostoria, MI formerly of Oxford, MI went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
He was born in Oxford, MI on December 31, 1938 to George and Erma (Clapsaddle) Dunn. Jim attended Oxford Schools. He was a member of the Pleasant View Free Methodist Church, Mayville and a faithful servant of the Lord. Jim worked at GM, Pontiac Motors and retired in 1991 at age 53. He always enjoyed golf, softball, bowling, basketball, hunting, woodworking, camping, cooking, baking, puzzles and playing cards. Jim loved watching all sports on TV and his westerns. He loved spending the winters in Lakeland, FL doing the same things.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Peggy; children, Melanie (Glen) Kampman, Brian (Dedra) Dunn, Amy (James) Rowe, Mark (Jennifer) Spezia, Jeffrey Spezia, Michael (Liza) Spezia, David (Stephanie) Spezia, and Rebecca Spezia (Matt); 18 grandchildren, Alizabeth (Anthony) Atnip, A.J. Caldwell (Megan), Erin (Ryan) Beemer, Adrienne (Ernie) Berzai, Brandon Rowe, Breanne (Corey) Fielder, Jarrett Dunn (Alyssa), Austin Dunn, Austin Frederick (Destiny), Ashley Frederick, Zachary Spezia, Ethan and Wesley Spezia, Sydney, Jamie, and Jordan Spezia, Kensington Spezia, and Lillian Peterson; great grandchildren, Caitlyn and Camryn Beemer, Lincoln Atnip, Lila Fielder, Brooklyn, Lena and Skye Frederick, James Jones, Alex Wetmore and Oscar Hill; sisters, Wanda Kinkle, Elma Banks, Thelma Fredline, Shirley Eargood, and Nancy (Jerald) Lamphier; brother, Max (Verneta) Dunn; and many, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nora Ann Billgren, four brothers in law, a niece; and four nephews.
The family will receive visitors from 10 – 11:30am on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Pleasantview Free Methodist Church, 8643 N. Lapeer Rd, Mayville.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am with Pastor Bruce Crockett officiating.
Burial will take place at Watertown Township Cemetery.
