James Alan Christie, age 62, of Flint, entered eternal life Wed, Aug 29, 2018, at Willowbrook Manor in Flint.
Born Dec 13, 1955, in Flint, a son of Robert William and Dorothy Ann (Stacy) Christie, Jim was a lifelong Flint resident and graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1974. He enjoyed the lighter side of life and liked making people laugh. He worked for Bill Knapp’s Restaurant on Miller Rd in Flint where he was assistant manager. Jim is survived by his parents, Bob and Dorothy of Marquette; a brother, Robert Christie of Marquette; a nephew, Jason (Becky) Christie of Morrisville, NC; and great nieces and nephews, Owen, Liberty, and Layla Christie of Morrisville, NC. He was preceded in death by a sister in law, Ruthann Christie of Marquette. A private graveside service will be held in Marquette at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Kidney Association. The Swanson-Lundquist Funeral Home is serving the family.
