James A. Morrison, 59, of Rapid City, died Tue, Feb 9, 1993, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mr. Morrison had been a lifelong resident of the Rapid City area, and was employed by Alken-Ziegler, Inc. in Kalkaska at the time of his death. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of Chain O Lakes VFW Post. He was a member of the Rapid City Church of Christ, and enjoyed Blue Grass Festivals, camping, and gardening.
Mr. Morrison was born in Kalkaska County on May 18, 1933, to Allan and Maude Lincoln Morrison. On Feb 11, 1984, in Rapid City he was married to Loueen Warner who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brian Morrison of Traverse City, and Scott Morrison of Rapid City; one daughter, Lori Morrison of Kalkaska; one step son, Andy Warner of Rapid City; five stepdaughters, Terry Rau of Erwin, TN, Terena Brown of Williamsburg, Mary Beaver and Julie Kelly both of Rapid City, and Dawn Coment of Central Lake; one brother, Bill Morrison of East Jordan; two sisters, Claire Lawrnece of Torch Lake and Barbara Guest of Lakeland, FL; and six grandchildren.
Two sisters, Elsie Jerome and Jean Burkard, preceded him in death.
Memorial services were held Sat, Feb 13, at the Rapid City Church of Christ. Jerry Leazenby officiated.
