Jack Thomas Slentz, 56, died at 7:30 pm Mon, Aug 17, 2009 at his residence.
He was born on Jun 30, 1953 in Hartford City to Albert “Jack” Charleston Slentz and Ruby I (Williams) Slentz. His mother precedes him in death on Dec 5, 1984.
Jack graduated from Blackford High School in 1971 and was a member of Pleasantdale United Methodist Church.
He had formerly worked at Peyton’s and Franklin Electric in Bluffton. He liked ice skating and fishing, and enjoyed basketball and baseball.
Jack will be sadly missed by his son, Cody Thomas Slentz of Hartford City; father, Albert “Jack” Charleston (wife, Maxine) Slentz of Hartford City; brother, Gregg A (wife, Nancy) Slentz of Hartford City; sisters, Sandra S (husband, James L) Swarzkopf of Poneto; Sally L Case of Chapel Hill, NC; step brothers, George (wife, Judy) Wilson of Port Charlotte, FL; Rex (wife, Candee) Wilson of Vienna, VA; Tony (wife, Debra) Wilson of Hartford City; step sister, Susan (husband, Mike) Willmann of Hartford City; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm Thu, Aug 20, 2009 at Keplinger Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Hall of Grace United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.
