Jack Lavern Kimble, of Manton, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at his home. He was 74.
He was born on August 12, 1937, in Manton, to Raymond and Herrietta (Zylstra) Kimble. He was a truck driver for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, roller skates and spending time with his family. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958. He was also a member of the Cadillac American Legion.
Mr. Kimble is survived by his daughter, Karen (Richard II) Anstett of Manton; daughter, Faith Hayes of Gowen; brother, Raymond (Pat) Kimbel of Manton; sister, Emmy Marsh of Cadillac; sister, Betty (Bob) Miller of Comstock Park, Mich.; six grandchildren Brett, Denny, Salena, Maegan, Dustin, Ashley, ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Kimble; son-in-law, Ronald B. Hayes; brother, Eugene Kimbel; sister, Berdena Groth; brother-in-law, Ivan Groth; sister, Herrietta Heibert; brother, Don Kimbel; father, Raymond Joseph Kimbel; mother, Herrietta Kimbel.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012, at 1 a.m. at the Hall-Holdship Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Willis officiating. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Manton. Visitation will be Sunday, May 20, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. and Sunday, May 20, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
