Jack Joseph Crifasi Sr, 65, of Hazel Park, died Sun, Apr 28, 1996, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was born Mar 28, 1931, in Springfield, IL.
Mr. Crifasi served with the U.S. Air Force. He retired in 1976 as a designer of General Motors, Fisher Body, Warren Tech Center. He was a former member of the Hazel Park Tax Appeal Board. He also was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 113, Redford and Metro Wood Carvers. For 25 years he participated in Boy Scouts including acting as scoutmaster. In Scouting he received the Order of he Arrow and Silver Beaver Award. He also was a member of the Harmonica Club.
Jack was well known for his wood carvings and totem polls at Manistee Lake.
He was particularly proud of his daughters and son.
Surviving are his wife Nina; son Jack (Kathy) of Berkley; daughters Josie of Hazel Park, Fran (Gary) Werschler of Clarkston, Roe (Ed) Andrews of Kalkaska, Marie (Terry) McCarthy of Waterford, and Stefanina (Cliff) Mays of Lapeer; brothers John (Georgette) of Roseville, Tony (Arlene) of Alabama, and Steve (Kipok) of Korea; sisters Marie (Louis) Logsdon of Mount Clemens, and Mary (Jim) Trickey of Alabama; and nine grandchildren.
A brother, Frank died in 1982.
Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
