Jack J. Helsel, 73, of Fife Lake, passed away on Sat., Sept. 21. 2002. at his home. He was born Oct. 16, 1928. in Fife Lake, the son of Fred and Kate (Olmstead) Helsel.
Jack married Dorothy May Hicks on Nov. 13. 1948, in Lake City. He lived in the Fife Lake area his whole life.
Jack is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Dorothy May, of 53 years; children Jack L. (Kathy) Helsel of Fife Lake, Timothy A. (Donna) Helsel of South Boardman, Patricia A. (Randall) Webb of Fife Lake, Gloria G. (Lonnie) Murphy of South Boardman, Larry L. (Dee-ulna) Helsel, of Fife Lake, Jerry L. (Amber) Helsel of South Boardman, Dawn K. (Donald) Holmes of Fife Lake, Joyce M. (Todd) Gasperini of Kalkaska; sister Bertha (Ken) Creason of Muskegon: 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.,
Jack was preceeded in death by his son William A. Helsel on Jan. 16,1978.
Visitation was on Sunday at Wolfe Funeral Home. The funeral service was conducted on Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Ingersoll officiating. Interment will be at Ingersoll Cemetery in Springfield Township.
