J. Donald Jencks, 88, of Holland, MI, died Mon, Oct 21, 1991, in a local Holland nursing home.
Mr. Jencks was born in Kalkaska to Chauncey and Nettie Jencks and attended schools in Kalkaska. He was employed by the Hart and Cooley Manufacturing Co. in Holland for 47 years, retiring in 1968 as vice president.
He married Florence Jencks in 1945, who preceded him in death in June.
He was one of the original organizers of the Meals on Wheels program of Holland Community Hospital.
Surviving are his children, Paul and Anita Jencks of Downers Grove, IL; two grandchildren, Valerie and Heather; one great grandchild, Amanda; and two nieces, Margaret (MacDonald) Raney and Mary (Larson) Myers; also six great nephews; Steve, Chick, Don, and Mack Rabourn and Ted and Dale Meyers.
Funeral and committal services were held Sat, Oct 26, 1991 at the Downton Chapel of Dykstra Funeral Homes. The Rev. Marion de Velder officiated.
