Ivan D. Miller, 78, a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, died Wed, Dec 22, 1993, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Miller was employed as an equipment operator with the Michigan Department of Transportation prior to his retirement in 1973. He was a member of the Grayling Moose Lodge, and enjoyed hunting and ice fishing.
Born on Dec 6, 1915, in Kalkaska County, he was the son of Emery and Zora Riley Miller. On Dec 25, 1940, in Flint, he was united in marriage with Rosemary Reynolds who preceded him in death on Mar 17, 1984.
He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are one son, Mace Miller of Medical Lake, WA; five daughters, Mrs. John (Jill) Kies, Mrs. Duane (Margie) Johnston, and Christi Miller all of Kalkaska; Mrs. Jerry (Jean) Lapeer of Las Vegas, NV, and Mrs. James (Mona) Carver of Naples, FL; one brother, Clesson Miller of Kalkaska; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Fri, Dec 24, 1993, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
