Brown City, July 6 – Isaac Hayward, 75, retired farmer and resident of this community most of his life, died unexpectedly today of a heart attack in Rogers Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 4, 1875 in Strathroy, Ont., and came to Maple Valley Township with his parents when he was a child. He married Miss Edna Seaton Sept. 7, 1904 in Brown City.
Surviving are his widow and two brothers, William, of Eaton Rapids, and John of Brown City.
Remains are in the Carman funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the First Methodist Church. Rev. Peter Bell, pastor, assisted by Rev. H.L. Matteson, pastor of United Missionary church, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
